Shamanic Training in modern day life typically only addresses the mind/spirit connection and overlooks the importance of being able to feel the spirit "real" within the body. At Joyful Warrior, we see movement and phyiscal health as essential to understanding life from a spiritually embodied point of view. Shamanic healing after all is about bringining a state intrisic joy to from the spirit world into the physical. This is why all earth-based cultures dance as part of their medicine, and use outdoor adventures to create a connection with the unseen world. For example, the ancient Tantrik Shamans danced and offered up the first "forms of yoga asana." Spirit can be most easily seen, as we move with spirit, in our body. And through our body, we can touch into our spirit, creating health and balance shamanically. To open our hearts, and live with spirit, we must approach our trainings as shamans, holistically through movement, meditaiton & meaning.

Movement

Movment is the first step to loving the skin you live in and feeling at home in your body. In order to become a Free Spirit, it is necessary to root your spirit into your body, and then open your heart to allow the spirit to express itself fully.
 

JOURNEYOGA

JourneYoga is a style of yoga developed by Holly Baade. It is a holistic and shamanic approach to Yoga and the path of spiritual awakening that recognizes each of us as sacred channels of living, breathing energy. JourneYoga draws on the teachings of Traditional Yoga, Prana Vinyasa, Bhakti, Tantra, Ayurveda, Shamanism and all forms of universal light, love and wisdom. 

NATURA

One discipline of movement is not a whole picture of how the body wants and was designed to move. It is possible to get too fixated on one way of, moving. When we move in the same repetitive patterns, we are not giving our body the full range of what it wants for balance and for personal movement mastery. Natura is Joyful Warrior Project's unique offering to the Movement Culture. Created by River Rudl, Natura it draws upon multidisciplinary movement focuses such as martial arts, physical therapy, yoga, functional training, dance and more.

Meditation

Meditation is a method for synchronizing body and mind peacefully in the present moment. When the body and mind are in sync, we are naturally relaxed, alert, open, and aware, and we experience ourselves and the world in a direct, unmediated way, without conceptual filters. It is this direct experience of the fullness, vitality, and splendor of life that is the gift of meditation.
 
To connect with our spirit and allow it to move through us, as us, we need to cultivate a consistent meditation practice. This allows us to "get into the conversation" with our highest Self, and with the spiritual realm that seeks to be of beneveloent service to humanity at this time of great awakening. CHAKRAS & CHANTING

YOGA NIDRA

Bring attention to your body, a safe haven within where you experience feelings of security, well-being, and calm. Welcome sensations of joy, well-being, or bliss emanating from your heart or belly and spreading throughout your body and into the space around you. With every exhalation, experience sensations of warmth, joy, and well-being radiating throughout your body. This is Yoga Nidra. Sleep of the Yogi, it is a class designed to help you go deeply into relaxation and healing. 

SHAMANIC JOURNEYING

Shamanism is an ancient Earth-based spiritual modality dating back thousands of years and shared among tribal cultures from nearly every continent on Earth. Shamanic Journeying is a practice in exploring the spirit plane through lucid psychic projection. During Shamanic Journeys we can experience a vast array of astral adventures ranging from meeting and connecting with spirit guides (including plant and animal totems), receiving divine guidance, and learning to increase our psychic and healing abilities. Shamanic Journeying is always an empowering, healing experience.

Emotion is energy in motion. When this energy is not moving, then it is a stuck emotion. When we supress, repress, ignore and deny our feelings, then we block the natural flow of energy. 
 
Programs in Meaning help us move through our emotions through reflective processes designed to get emotion out of the shadows and into the light where we can embrace them.
 
We use art, group discussion, ritual and creativity in programs with Meaning to take a closer look at where we have been, where we are, and where we would like to be.
 
 

TEA & TAROT

If you want a particulare result in a certain area of you rlife and want to know how to achieve it in a holistic way, Tarot Cards are a great way to go past all the thoughts in your head and allow a reflective game to begin. Tarot cards are archetypal ancient tools for seeing more clearly that which we are experiencing. Class meets informally with Tea. Each class is unique based on what people are needing.

THE COLOR STORY | Children's Waldorf Inspired Water Color

Taught by two well trained Waldorf Middle Schoolers, this class is designed for young children and the young at heart. Wet on wet, watercolor. The intent is to give an experience of color, not so much of form. Because the wet paint is laid on wet paper, the colors flow, blending into one another in beautiful, unexpected ways. The class is taught through story, so that it is easy to get to know the mood of each color and have fun. *Specialty Class Runs 10 weeks starting March 1 | $130 for class, includes materials. Max 10 people. 

CONSCIOUS DREAMING

Conscious Dreaming is a way of talking and walking our dreams, of bringing energy and guidance from the dreamworld into everyday life. We learn how to create a safe space where we can share dreams of the night and dreams of life with others, receive helpful feedback, and encourage each other to move towards creative and healing action. It is also a method of shamanic lucid dreaming.  It starts with simple everyday practice and extends to profound group experiences of time travel, soul recovery and the exploration of multidimensional reality. Conscious Dreaming offers meaning in your life by reclaiming the our the inner child’s gift of spontaneity, play and imagination.
